Artist’s Statement

Lauren Floden
Fine Artist / Portrait Artist /Photographer/ Muralist / Illustrator

Lauren Floden has created Fine Art, Portraiture and Photographic works for both local and international clientele. Lauren welcomes commissions and works with her clients to create treasured works of art. Working in oils, acrylics, pastels, conte crayon as well as pen and ink, Lauren is also available for commissioned murals and book illustration.

Though primarily self-taught, she studied Art at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Her fervent love of God, creation and the triumphant human spirit, has inspired her lifelong search for creative ways to express that love. Grateful for her God given gifts, Lauren believes one of her responsibilities, as an artist, is to give voice to matters of social, environmental and spiritual significance. The visual arts have provided Lauren with a way to share concerns and to summon support for conscientious change. Her current interactive installation, “The Positive Impact Site”, is a work in progress and invites participants to evaluate and share in bringing about positive change in our world.

Continuing to explore the many facets of creativity in conjunction with the visual arts, Lauren uses collage, the Celtic harp and interpretive dance to conduct workshops on creativity as a means of personal transformation.
